Spencer Leniu is a chance to avoid sanction for his sideline spray at Johnathan Thurston, after the Sydney Roosters prop doubled down on his expletive-laden shot at the rugby league great. Less than 12 hours after allegedly calling Thurston a 'f***wit', Leniu took to social media on Saturday morning to accuse him of being two-faced and 'fake'. It is understood the NRL is not yet investigating the issue and will not do so unless the Nine Network or Thurston makes a formal complaint and presents them with evidence.

Six footy fans - including three women - have been charged by NSW Police following a brawl outside Accor Stadium after the Bulldogs' round five NRL win against Newcastle on April 6. Two of the men - both aged 21 - were refused bail and will appear in the Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday. On Friday, the pair were arrested at Bankstown in Sydney's south-west. The men were then taken to Bankstown Police Station where they were charged with assault occasioning aggravated bodily harm in company of others and affray, a statement from NSW Police read.
